How much money do I have to find up front before I can move into a property?

Is interest payable on my damage deposit?

No, your deposit is held in a non-interest bearing account and your tenancy agreement will stipulate that no interest is payable.

Will my damage deposit be returned to me after I vacate the property?

Bush Management is one of the founding members of the Tenancy Deposit Scheme for Regulated Agents (TRSRA) and as such, your deposit is fully protected. At the end of your tenancy your deposit will be refunded to you in accordance with the provisions of the scheme and in the event of a dispute the matter will be referred to an Independent Case Examiner appointed by The Dispute Service Limited.

Are council tax and utility bills included in the rent?

No, all of our rents are exclusive of outgoings unless otherwise stated.

Are pets allowed in the property?

The acceptance of pets is entirely at the discretion of each individual landlord. Generally speaking, if a property is new, has been freshly decorated or recently refurbished then it is unlikely that pets would be accepted. Leasehold flats may also have covenants that govern the keeping of pets irrespective of the landlord's view.

Are my possessions covered by the Buildings Insurance?

No, tenants' possessions are not covered by buildings insurance so we strongly recommend that you take out your own contents and tenants liability insurance for the property.

Who do I report repairs to?

This will depend upon whether you rent a property that is under our full management or a lettings only property.  Our dedicated Repairs and Maintenance Department is on hand if you are in a fully managed property. If you are however in a lettings only property all repairs will need to be reported directly to the landlord. You will be advised to whom you should report repairs when signing the tenancy agreement.
